The saddest thing isn’t always the breakup... it’s watching a woman slowly lose herself while trying to hold onto a man who was never good for her in the first place. You watch her spirit dim. Her smile doesn’t reach her eyes anymore. The woman who once lit up a room now moves like a ghost of herself... quiet, tired, emotionally worn out. She stops dressing up, stops doing her hair, loses that fire in her laugh. Not because she’s lazy or careless, but because she’s drained from constantly trying to prove her worth to a man who never deserved her in the first place.
ReplyDeleteIt’s heartbreaking to see how some men don’t break women loudly. They do it silently. With emotional neglect. With criticism disguised as honesty. With the kind of inconsistency that keeps her questioning if she’s the problem. And little by little, she starts to shrink.
